Farmers can easily download their Soil Health Card (SHC) from the SHC portal or through an SMS link sent to their mobile phones. The SHC provides a detailed analysis of the soil’s condition, covering 12 important parameters: N, P, K, S (macronutrients); Zn, Fe, Cu, Mn, Bo (micronutrients); and pH, EC, OC. Based on this analysis, the SHC also offers specific fertilizer recommendations and necessary soil amendments for optimal crop growth.

Cost Breakdown:

  • Soil sampling, testing, and SHC generation: ₹300 per SHC
  • Soil collection: ₹40
  • Soil testing and analysis: ₹150
  • Awareness initiatives: ₹110

      How to apply for RKVY Soil Health and Fertility Scheme?

      1. Farmer approaches a District Agriculture Officer / Block Agriculture Officer for soil testing and generation of a SHC.
      2. The concerned officer shall initiate the process for the concerned farmer wherein they assess whether the applicant’s district / village falls under State Annual Action Plan for generation of SHC.
      3. Agent visits the farmer and collects farmer details, land details and geo-tags the land through mobile app and takes a sample of the soil for testing
      4. The soil is tested on set parameters and a Soil Health report is generated for the farmer’s land
      5. The report contains results as well as recommendations on suitable crops for the soil type, and the quantity and type of fertiliser to be used.
