Chief Minister Of Uttarakhand launched the Old Age Pension Scheme. This scheme is available for the senior citizens of the Uttarakhand state with  minimum age 60 years.

The main objective of this scheme is to help the old people financially, only those who are more than 60 years of age and destitute can take advantage of this scheme. Older people have to face many problems due to old age. They have to depend on others to live their life, so the government has given financial help to these people and to make them self-reliant.

What are the benefits of Old Age Pension Scheme?

1. Old people can improve their financial condition by taking advantage of this scheme.
2. The BPL beneficiaries of the state who are destitute old people will be provided with the benefit of this scheme.
3. Older people will not have to depend on others to live their life.
4. Uttrakhand Vridhawstha Pension Yojana Under this, people who are 60 to 79 years old are given a pension of Rs 200 from the central government and Rs 1300 from the state government i.e., Rs 1500.
5. Similarly, a total pension of Rs 1500 (Rs 500/- per month by the Central Government and Rs 1000/- per month by the State Government) is given to BPL beneficiaries above the age of 80 years. This scheme is like a support for the old people of the state.

What is the eligibility criteria for Old Age Pension Scheme?

1. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
2. Only people who are 60 years or more of the state can apply for this scheme.
3. The beneficiary should be from a BPL family or his monthly income should not exceed Rs.4000.
4. The beneficiary whose son or son is more than 20 years of age but the candidate is living below the poverty line is eligible for this scheme.
5. The beneficiary over 60 years of age but not belong to a BPL family will be given the entire pension amount by the state government.

3. Fill all the information sought in the form and after filling it will have to be signed by the Village Head and Village Panchayat Development Officer (VDO).
4. Attach all the necessary documents and submit the form to the Social Welfare Department.
